Getting Started

How do I create an account?

Click the "Sign Up" button in the top right corner. Choose whether you want to join as a customer or provider, fill in your details, and you're ready to go!

What's the difference between a customer and provider account?

Customers post jobs and hire handymen. Providers browse jobs and submit bids to get hired. You can only have one type of account.

Is it free to sign up?

Yes! Creating an account is completely free for both customers and providers.

Posting Jobs

How do I post a job?

After signing in as a customer, click "Post a Job" on your dashboard. Fill in the job details including category, description, location, and budget.

Can I edit my job after posting?

No. Once a job is posted, it cannot be edited. To make changes, cancel the current job and post a new one.

How do I cancel a job?

Go to your job details page and click the cancel option. Note that you cannot cancel a job that's already in progress.

Bidding & Hiring

How do I submit a bid?

Browse available jobs, click on one that interests you, and submit your bid with your price, estimated duration, and a message to the customer.

How do I choose a provider?

Review the bids you receive, compare prices and messages, check provider profiles, then accept the bid you prefer.

Can I reject a bid?

Yes, you can reject any bid. The provider will be notified that their bid was not selected.

Messaging

When can I message a provider/customer?

Messaging is enabled after a bid is accepted. This ensures meaningful communication between parties who are committed to working together.

Are messages private?

Yes, all messages are private between you and the other party. They are not shared publicly.

Payments & Safety

How do payments work?

Payments are arranged directly between customers and providers. We recommend discussing payment terms before starting work.

Is my information secure?

Yes, we use industry-standard security measures to protect your data. Your personal information is never shared without consent.

Bidding Integrity

Can providers pay to rank higher in job results?

No. A provider's position in any ranking or listing is determined entirely by their verified review score — nothing else. There is no advertising tier, no featured placement, no way to buy visibility. Providers who do great work get seen first. Full stop.

Are all reviews on Miba verified and real?

Yes. A review can only be submitted by a customer after a bid has been hired and the job has been completed through our platform. Providers have no way to request, edit, or suppress their reviews. Every rating — positive or negative — is published as-is.

What stops providers from submitting insincere or low-effort bids?

Every bid a provider submits is tied to their account and review history. Customers can see a provider's past rating and win history before hiring. Providers who consistently get rejected or receive poor reviews lose bidding priority. Low-rated accounts are eventually suspended.

What happens if a provider doesn't follow through after their bid is accepted?

An accepted bid is a commitment. If a provider abandons or ignores a job they agreed to, the customer can report it directly through the platform. That report is recorded permanently on the provider's profile, lowering their rating and reducing their future bid visibility. Repeat violations result in account removal.
